My Mom’s banana bread recipe.
Ingredients
- 🍞 2 cups all purpose flour
- 🧑🍳 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 🧑🍳 1 tsp baking soda
- 🧂 1/2 tsp salt
- 🍬 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 🐮 1/2 cup butter
- 🐄 1/4 buttermilk
- 🍌 3 or 4 mashed bananas
- 🥚 2 large eggs
- 💮 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a large mixing bowl.
- Add sugar, butter, buttermilk and bananas.
- Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.
- Add eggs, vanilla and another 1/4 cup buttermilk
- Beat on medium speed for 1 minute.
- Spread batter evenly in 2 greased 9“ pans.
- Bake at 350° F for 30-40 minutes.
- Cool 10 minutes, then remove from pans and cool completely, spread frosting.
